Saturday, March 23rd ~ Rope Play: Dance of Tension and Polarity

Rope creates a dynamic tension between bodies. Playing with this cord of connection can stir sensations of surrender, stoke a sense of power, and engage carnal creativity.

:::Dive into the dynamic possibilities with a whole day of rope play! In this daylong deep dive, we will explore multiple ways to play with tension, compression, and dynamic embodiment together:

  • Contact Improv
  • Rope Dance
  • Contactsage
  • One Rope Play

This exploratory journey will build over the course of the day, with plenty of opportunities to develop familiarity and trust with each other before diving deeper into a more intimate rope scene with one person. We will empower consent and guide boundary negotiation every step of the way. No partner required. You may choose to come with a partner for the rope scene, or partner with someone you meet here.

The first half of the workshop will involve a lot of mixing and mingling, to learn the principles (and pleasures!) of contact improv and rope dance with different bodies. Near the end of the One Rope Play, people will stick with one partner to dive into a scene that puts the practices of the day together. If you don’t come with a partner, you will most likely be able to find a partner that you’ve built rapport/trust with throughout the day. If not, we’ll do our best to balance things out with Sasha and another floater volunteer.

Rope Play will be a physically intimate exploration, and we welcome bringing in sexy/sensual energy. However, we’ll be keeping to 2nd base boundaries during the event, meaning underwear will stay on and no direct genital contact will be allowed.

PRICE:

Sliding Scale: $80 – $120

LOCATION: Private home in Berkeley. We have space for an intimate group of 20 people and expect to sell out.
